Think Sundeck Bar, a DJ for Liquid Sunshine sessions, extended hours to take advantage of our balmy Canberra nights, and have we mentioned the Coronarita? Now that is something worth paying attention to.
Our new Sundeck bar is now open Saturdays and Sundays from lunchtime until sundown (times) and is a great place to enjoy a long leisurely session with your mates. Sun lovers can relax and enjoy the views of the green with a fun, festive vibe, and choose from the many summery cocktails and drinks on offer including Pimms and Lemonade, Passionfruit Caprioskas, Green Apple Mojitos and Miami Iced Teas, strawberry and lime Rekorderlig slushies, margaritas, spritzed wines, as well as ice-cold Coronas for the beer lovers.
And speaking of Coronas – know what you get when you cross a Corona with a Margarita? The Coronarita of course! We take the RUC’s margarita – a tart blend of tequila, Cointreau and lime juice, shaken on ice – pour it into a glass and invert a Corona bottle into the margarita. The beer slowly trickles out of the bottle and into your drink as you drink it (with the aid of a Corona Clip) and what an amazing combination. Summer bliss right there!
For music lovers, we’ve got Friday nights covered with DJs from 7.30pm for Liquid Sunshine sessions. Kicking off on Friday 16th November right after our famous meat raffles, it’ll happen every Friday night throughout summer, as well as on Sunday afternoons on the Sundeck.
