As a proud supporter of all sports in Canberra, we want to see what you’ve got because professional sport stars aren’t the only ones who can pull off the unthinkable.

Are you a hero in your local sporting club? Do you consistently pull off the most unlikely manoeuvres in your respective sport and earn the respect of not only your teammates but your opposition? Then we have a competition just for you.

Introducing the RUC’s Top Efforts for 2023.

What Do I Have to Do?

All you have to do is capture your sporting highlight on video, upload it to a publicly accessible platform, such as YouTube or to Dropbox, and fill out the form that will be provided on this page on 1 June 2023.

A panel of judges will then assess all of the entries for that month and pick a monthly winner.

Who Can Enter?

Top Efforts is open to all sporting teams and all genders in the Canberra region. You just need to be over the age of 18 to enter.

What Will I Win?

Monthly winners will score a voucher to spend however they like on food and beverages at the club. Shout your team a feast to celebrate! – or keep it for yourself 😉

The competition begins on 1 June 2023 and ends on 30 September 2023. You can upload your highlight via the form below.

• 1-30 June: Submit your June highlights. Entries close at 11.59pm, 30 June 2023
• 25 July: June winner announced

1-31 July: Submit your July highlights. Entries close at 11.59pm, 31 July 2023
22 August: July winner is announced

How Will I Be Notified If I Win?

You will receive an email and a phone call from the RUC that you have won. The email will detail how to collect your prize.

The winners will also be announced on the RUC’s socials, so be sure to follow the RUC on all channels to keep up to date with Top Efforts 2023.

The Top Efforts competition is run by The RUC (the Club).
The RUC seeks your permission to use the information and/or photographs and/or video images of you for the Top Efforts competition (‘the Competition’) and other marketing for the Club. This includes any video and written content produced as part of your entry (‘the Submission’).
Your name, sports club, age and the Submission may be used by the Club on the Club website, social media and other marketing material.

Acknowledgement and Consent

I acknowledge that my information, photographs and video images submitted and captured as part of the Competition may be disclosed to person/s and or organisations for use in promotional activities;
I acknowledge that I have read the content and been given a copy of this form;
I acknowledge that I am over 18 years of age in line with the consent guidelines provided by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner;
I consent to the use of my information and the photographs/video images described on this form by the Market now, and at any time in the future, including after my death, for the purposes outlined above;
I understand that once my information and any of the photographs/video images referred to above have been published, the Club has no control over their subsequent use and disclosure;
I understand that my information and any of the photographs/video images referred to above including my quotes may be published on social media, national and local media encompassing print, television and internet based formats.
