The RUC is reopening on Friday 15 October, and we can’t wait to welcome back all of our members.
From this Friday, we are limited to just 25 patrons inside, so bookings are essential. Once we get to October 29, that capacity will increase to 145 people inside, 70 on the deck, plus the bowling greens will reopen.
Our staff are all fully vaccinated – this was a decision we made for the safety of our community and our valued Club members. While we will not be verifying our visitors’ vaccination statuses, we strongly encourage all our members and guests to be fully vaccinated, and to stay home if you’re feeling at all unwell.
All your favourite RUC specials are still here! That means our two happy hours, as well as $12 rump steak on Monday, $12 schnitties on Tuesday, $15 burgers on Wednesday, $12 lunches Monday-Friday 12-2pm, and $5 Capital Coast Ale schooners on Friday.
Live music and bowls (including our Bowls, Burger, Beer or Bubbles Sunday special) will both return from October 29.
We haven’t just been sitting back and relaxing for the past few weeks; we spent the sunny days painting the deck and outside furniture, picnic tables and the high bar tables around the greens, and we also created more outdoor shaded areas and refurbished the greens (the grass is growing like crazy!).
On the cooler days, we extended the bar area inside the Club, polished the floorboards, and created our community sports lounge – a celebration of some of the local sporting clubs we support through community contributions.
If you’d like to book a table, and you’re coming with a group of seven or less, the easiest way is through our online booking system. If you’d like to make a larger booking, with 8 or more people, please call the Club directly on 02 6247 7838 and we can help you find a suitable time.
There will be a 2-hour time limit on bookings to make sure everyone who wants to visit the RUC will get their opportunity. Please wear a mask when you come to the RUC, check in with your Check In CBR app, and remain seated when eating or drinking.
We’ve also revamped our menu with new items including crumbed lamb cutlets, new salads, and beef cheeks – plus all your regular Club classics like schnitties, parmas, and steak. You can order the old school way over the bar, or you can order and pay from your table via Me&U mobile ordering.
