2024 is officially upon us and the year is already shaping up to be a great one at the RUC! January and February are when uni students gear up for the year ahead in Canberra. Whether you’re new to Canberra or born and bred, the RUC is a great place to start off the uni year.
O-Week is approaching hard and fast in Canberra! After all the festivities have wrapped up at your university, head down to the club to keep the party going.
We are conveniently located in Turner, only a short distance away from Canberra’s major universities:
- 5 minute drive from Australian National University (ANU)
- 9 minute drive from Australian Catholic University (ACU)
- 9 minute drive from University of New South Wales (UNSW) at Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA)
- 10 minute drive from University of Canberra (UC)

Thursday Uni Nights
Kick the Thursday study blues and let us do the cooking for you. Each and every Thursday night from 8-9pm is Uni Night where Members can hook into a chicken schnitty, vegetarian pizza, or fish and chips for just $15.
You can back it up with our Basic Spirits Happy Hour starting at the same time and grab yourself a drink for $4.90, bringing your dinner total to under $20. How good is that!
Team Sponsorships
Supporting our community is vital to us at the RUC. We help community sporting clubs including university sporting groups by providing financial support and in-kind assistance (community contributions). When we support community sporting teams, we’re supporting a social environment for people to meet others while exercising. If you believe your sporting club could use some help from the community, you can fill out an application to gain assistance/funding.
Weekly Specials
“On Thursdays, we eat at the RUC to enjoy the Uni Night special, but what do we do with the other days of the week?” You can still head down to the RUC for great deals!
From Monday to Friday, we’ve got Member deals that will satisfy your hunger and keep you in budget.
- Mondays: Steak Night. Grab a rump steak with chips and salad for just $15.
- Tuesdays: Schnitty Night. Chicken Schnitzel with chips and salad for just $15.
- Wednesdays: Burger Night. Any burger and chips on our menu for just $15.
- Thursdays: Uni Night. From 8-9pm, choose between a chicken schnitty, vegetarian pizza, or fish and chips for just $15.
- Live Music Fridays. From 7:30pm on Fridays, listen to some sweet tunes at the club from talented local musicians. Plus we’ve got $5 schooners of Capital Brewing Coast Ale from 4pm every Friday.
- Weekly Lunch Specials. From 12-2pm you can grab either a chicken schnitzel, fish and chips, Caesar salad, or vegetarian pizza for just $15.
- Sunday Best: Bowls, Burgers, Beers, or Bubbles for $30 a person.
