The time has finally come, the RUC’s facelift has now been completed. You might have seen our last blog post about how the RUC’s refresh was progressing. Our renovations and refurbishment started over 12 months ago and are now complete!
We have revamped our space to include new furniture and ambient mood lighting throughout the venue, making it a relaxing and casual environment. You can now sink a round of beers with your mates in our newly renovated sporting lounge on a Friday night, have dinner at the welcoming bistro during the week, or kick back outside under the heaters on our deck at the weekend.
New dining area and cafe
Our dining area has arguably had the biggest facelift of them all, we’ve updated our furniture to match the new decor and colour scheme, and we’re now able to accommodate over 40% more members and guests. Join us at the RUC for a meal, drink and catch up.
We have also welcome extended hours for dining with our cafe open each morning from 9am for coffee, cake and a chat. If you’re looking for a venue for your mothers group or just want to catch up with a friend for coffee, the cafe is the perfect place.
Accessible amenities
For a moment of solitude and to freshen up, our newly updated bathrooms are available in the middle of the club, just behind the main bar. In both female and male bathrooms, there are automatic soap dispensers, hand dryers located just above the sinks and accessible toilets within both sets of bathrooms.
Lively sporting lounge and bar
Sit back and enjoy your favourite sports in our improved sporting lounge. Get nice and close to the action with our bar tables facing directly towards the TVs for the ultimate sporting experience. With a number of TV screens around, you can watch all the different sporting games.
Sunkissed sun deck
Above the bowling greens, you will find our undercover sundeck. While this area would traditionally be used only through the warmer months, we have added outdoor heaters and TVs.
Catch your favourite sporting matches out here or cheer on your friends and family playing lawn bowls from the comfort of the undercover sundeck.
Straight to the pool room
Our pool room fitout is finally complete with a variety of signed jerseys from club legends of the Inner North. Sink some balls in a game of pool while still staying close to all the action. In between turns, you can catch up on the sporting games on the TV or the games of bowls being played just outside.
