We love hearing the roar of the RUC crowd when our Canberra teams dominate, so we play a variety of sports so you and your mates can spend an afternoon or night watching your favourite players.

NRL
The iconic green sets the Canberra Raiders apart from the rest in the game. The green machine has been one of Canberra’s most prized possessions since their first game in 1982 and having won three premierships makes our love for them even stronger.
We love the Raiders so much that we have introduced a new drink special for the 2024 NRL Season! Every Raiders game this 2024 season, you can enjoy a $5 VB schooner from 2 hours before the game until full time.
AFL
While we don’t have our own Canberra AFL team, we have adopted the GWS Giants as our own. The Giants have seamlessly integrated into the Canberra sporting landscape and have amplified the sporting spirit in Canberra more than ever before.
In partnership with Capital Brewing Co., you can win the best seats in the house at the RUC for you and five mates every Thursday night AFL game. To sweeten the deal, you also get Capital Brewing Co. merchandise, cold tinnies to sample and a variety of bar snacks.
To enter the competition, all you have to do is tag your mates in our social post about AFL Thursday Nights and we will select the winner randomly.
The best part is that if you don’t win the seats, you still get great discounts! We’ll be serving up $5 schooners of the Capital Brewing Co. Coast Ale from 7-9:30pm every Thursday night AFL game.
Super Rugby
When it comes to Super Rugby, only one team comes to mind – the ACT Brumbies. Yet another iconic local Canberra team since 1996. Did you know that 50% of all Brumbies players have gone onto play for the Wallabies. They also have the highest percentage of members of any Super Rugby Franchise, which would not be possible without their dedicated supporters – you!
The Brumbies have always been Australia’s premier rugby province, as most successful and most wins which is pretty amazing given the size of Canberra’s population relative to other states. There is obviously something in the water in the national capital to produce the country’s best players, administrators, and coaches.
Streaming all the Brumbies games from Stan Sports, you can get your Super Rugby fix on the big screens at the RUC.
