At the RUC, we’re all about supporting the local community and that doesn’t just mean through traditional sponsorship for sporting clubs. Since joining forces with the Canberra North Bowling Club in 2014, we’ve been committed to providing support to a variety of clubs and associations, from business groups, to Not for Profit organisations and education institutions.
Our members have a variety of interests and are involved in the local community in a range of ways, either for themselves or their kids. Our aim is to provide support to our members both at the club and outside of the club, particularly in the Inner North.
Most recently, we were a proud Platinum Sponsor of the Turner School Fete. We donated $1400 to the Woodfired Pizza Stall to help the parents raise much needed funds for the school. It was an absolute hit again this year!
The RUC team have fond memories of school fetes and we had a great time doing it all again for the Turner School last month.
F – AIRY FLOSS. Mmmm spun sugar. There’s nothing wrong with the kids having a little sugar high every now and then, right?
E – XCITING times to be had with family and friends. There were plenty of pics taken in the photo booth!
T – OY STALL. There’s no such thing as too many toys.
E – AT. We sure did, from one of the many food stalls – you can’t go past a sausage sizzle, curry stall, homemade cakes and mixed lollies. Oh boy, was it good!
The Turner School Fete was loads of fun and all for a great community cause.
The Turner School Fete was held on:
Saturday 29 October from 10am to 2pm.
